CDC 2025: Autism Identified in 1 in 31 Children

TRICARE Provider Shortages Cause Extended ABA Wait Times

Military families are especially affected. TRICARE acknowledges ongoing provider shortages leading to significant ABA wait times on and near many installations. In some areas, families report waits of 6–12 months before services begin.

3

Administrative Barriers Limit Access to ABA for Military Families

"Military families likely encounter more administrative barriers to accessing ABA services than civilian families. Challenges include a multi-step enrollment process, mandatory parental stress evaluations, required assignment to Autism Services Navigators, and restricted service settings" --National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (2025)

How it Works

Our Solution:  Bridge Support for Military Families

We Fill the Gap Between Diagnosis and ABA Start Date

Together Again

You’ve completed the TRICARE paperwork. You’ve selected a provider. But the wait begins — often 6 - 12 months long. That’s where we come in.

Our BCBA-led program helps you start now with family-friendly coaching and practical daily plans designed for your home routine.

All it takes is one phone call, one text, one email, and you have support. Serving those who serve, always.

FAQs

Does this replace TRICARE-covered ABA?

We’re an interim service—our job is to support you until your covered ABA provider begins.

Is this really free for families?

Yes, this is our gift to you. Service before self, honor above all.

What if my child doesn’t have an autism diagnosis but still struggles with behavior, social adjustment, or transitions?

You don’t need a diagnosis to get help.

Many military children experience behavioral or emotional challenges linked to deployments, school transitions, parental absences, and frequent moves. Our BCBA-led team specializes in behavioral support and parent coaching that strengthens routines, improves communication, and helps kids adapt successfully — with or without a formal diagnosis.

Common issues we address:

  • Homework completion and study routines

  • Social adjustment after relocation

  • Tantrums or defiance linked to stress or change

  • Trouble following directions or routines

  • Difficulty with transitions when a parent deploys or returns

*We are a BCBA-led interim support service. We do not replace comprehensive ABA. We collaborate with TRICARE-approved providers to bridge service gaps
“When we moved to Quantico, we were told the waitlist for ABA was six months long. I felt completely stuck — our son was regressing, and we didn’t know what to do in the meantime. Applied Behavior Analysts met with us that same week and gave us simple, doable strategies for home and daycare. By the time our TRICARE ABA started, my son was calmer, sleeping better, and actually enjoying routines again. It’s the first time in years I’ve felt like I could breathe."
